On Saturday, Western will lower the flag on University College in honour of Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, who was killed Oct. 20 when he was struck by a car while walking through a parking lot in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que. Vincent’s funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral de Longueuil.

The university’s flags are at half-staff in conjunction with flags being lowered at government buildings and establishments, including the Peace Tower in Ottawa.

Western reminds its campus community that counselling services are always available to assist faculty, students and staff, including during times of national and global distress.
